© 2025 – Clean Air and Climate – All Rights Reserved

PhD students, research fellows, researchers, academics and professionals are invited to submit abstracts related to research activities, applied studies and case studies addressing the Conference Topics.

A short abstract graphic summarising the key aspects of the research or project may be optionally attached.

Contributions accepted and presented during the Symposium will be published in the Conference Proceedings with ISBN.

Pubblication of papers

High-quality abstract presented at Symposium will be invited to submit a full paper for review in the cooperating journals (Scopus Indexed, IF) and included in special issues after the journals' normal peer review process.

TOPICS

1. Characterisation, Measurement and Modelling

  • Methodologies for the characterisation and monitoring of air quality
  • Technologies for the characterisation and measurement of emissions
  • Monitoring and control projects for emissions from industrial plants
  • Monitoring and control of air quality in urban or industrial contexts
  • Atmospheric dispersion and diffusion models for impact assessment: elements, analysis and comparison

2. Control, Treatment and Regulation

  • National and regional air quality regulations: current status and future perspectives
  • Tools, strategies and processes for emission control and treatment
  • Strategies for reducing atmospheric pollution: experiences and results
  • Community involvement in air quality protection
  • Atmospheric impact assessment: tools and approaches
  • Air permits for complex industrial installations
  • Source apportionment

3. Research and Innovation

  • Advanced tools and technologies for monitoring priority and emerging pollutants (PFAS, microplastics, etc.) and GHGs
  • Impacts of air quality on the environment and human health: approaches and recent evidence
  • Innovative technologies for the sustainable treatment of priority and/or emerging pollutants and GHGs

4. Interdisciplinary Approaches, Indoor Air and Health Protection

  • Relationships between atmospheric pollution and climate change: integrated analysis and control strategies
  • Evaluation of environmental policies: results of quantitative research
  • Technologies for emission reduction in industrial settings: case studies and applications
  • Sustainability and integrated management of air quality: innovative strategies
  • Indoor air quality: tools, technologies, regulations and control strategies
  • Atmospheric pollution and human health
